Patrons for Payton is a group of Charlie Brown’s regulars coming together for a cause that’s close to our hearts. For over 20 years, Shawn Farnsworth was not just a bartender at Charlie Brown’s—he was the bartender, the Sam Malone of our version of Cheers. He knew our names, our drinks, the history of the bar. Now, it’s our turn to show up for his family. His daughter, Payton Farnsworth, is facing a serious medical challenge: a large tumor compressing her spinal cord, requiring complex surgery and a long road to recovery.
In the spirit of community and generosity, we’re organizing a series of fundraising events to help Payton with the financial burden of her treatment. From performances to jewelry pop-ups and drag queen bingo, we’ll be raising money the only way we know how—together, with music, laughter, and love. Payton is the creator behind Wild Magpie, a handmade jewelry business she poured herself into during this difficult time. Her art is a reflection of resilience, transformation, and hope—and we’re honored to include it in our events.
Payton’s story and spirit have inspired us to act, and we invite everyone who’s ever shared a song, a drink, or a memory at Charlie Brown’s to join us.
